Fantastic guest house. Staff are lovely, excellent service. Rooms are very clean. Everything provided for. Breakfast is outstanding. Bill is also lovely, makes an effort in getting to know his guests. Would definitely stay here again

My friends and I stayed in Argyle Guest House for the weekend to explore Whitby and we all had such a wonderful stay. The rooms were just incredible and each had their own special personal touches and themes. The attention to detail made the stay feel super luxurious down to the incredible furniture to the super cosy comfy beds. To make things even better the breakfast was super tasty. We all opted for a full English breakfast and the service was prompt and friendly. Everything on the plate was clearly locally sourced and the whole breakky was simply delicious! The owner of the hotel, Bill, popped out to offer us more and make sure we were all happy with our stays. Overall we all had a fabulous stay and will definitely be staying here again. I'd 100% recommend Argyle Guest House to anyone who wants to explore the city or even if you just want to stay in a really cool unique place.

Luvly B&B, beautiful newly refurbished rooms, staff are luvly, friendly and polite. Parking in the area (like most of Whitby) is mainly permit holders, but they do provide parking permits. Location is great for local attractions (whale bones, pavilion), with shops and pub(s) just down the road towards town, though it is a bit on a hill

Argyle House is in a fabulous location just up from The Royal Crescent and an easy walk in 2 directions to Whitby Harbour. We stayed for 3 nights and our room was number 8 in the attic and was absolutely lovely with tea and coffee making facilities, free Netflix and really made us feel calm and welcome. Nice touches like umbrellas by the front door to borrow and amazing customer service just show how much they care about their guests. Breakfast was absolutely lovely and of a very high standard with a really nice vibe in the restaurant. Bill, Jo and Sarah went out of their way to make to our stay as fabulous as it was, we would definitely recommend staying here.

Start of the goth weekend in whitby. Lots of people dressed up to the nines. Shops should be doing well plenty of tourists spending their hard earned cash. Weather a little sketchy, warm but rain is on the cards. People are in holiday mode.

Argyle house is great, we stayed in room 2 looking out to the front, it was spotlessly clean, bed was really comfy too, breakfast was fab really set you up for the day, good choice available too, Bill was an excellent host nothing to much trouble, very welcoming as we're the rest of the staff, Argyle house is also in a great location for the beach and town, would definitely recommend staying here, thanks for a lovely few days...

Very pleasant stay service is 100% and the proprietor bill was fantastic would go out of his way to accommodate his guests I couldn't ask him for any more the rooms are well kept clean and inviting enjoyed my stay and booked for next year

This place is so we'll located and the owner and staff could not be more helpful. Very clean. Everything you need. Very good breakfast. Sadly I was ill and had to stay in bed one day and we decided to leave early but I would definitely stay there again.

Spent 2 nights here and would most definitely come back, our bedroom was clean modern with a four poster bed, there's free WiFi and sky tv,also hair dryer and use of iron and ironing board, the owners were lovely very polite and nothing was to much trouble. Breakfast was amazing, best poached eggs I've ever had wide choice of food and you could have as much as you wanted.once you've spent the night here you wouldn't want to go anywhere else

Stayed here last week. Owner is super friendly and his breakfast is amazing. All locally sourced food. Room was clean and perfect for a couple of nights. Parking is all on the street with permits provided. Just a warning that spaces are very limited. It was half term so very busy and once we were lucky enough to find a space nearby, we didn't dare move the car again. Thankfully this place is perfectly placed walking distance to everything you need in the main part of the town.

Excellent place to stay. I stayed recently as I was working in the area. The owner went above and beyond to make my stay pleasant. Excellent service, very clean, room has everything you need. If you are a worker staying in the area I highly recommend this place.

We love Argyle House. Whenever we visit Whiby this is the place to stay. Lovely clean rooms, very nice breakfast and you get a choice. Wouldn't go anywhere else

We stayed for 3 nights lovely room , food was very good and staff very helpful and everything easy to get to beach, sea front and getting into town. Open top bus for sightseeing.

Very nice and welcoming. Rooms clean and tidy, breakfast excellent, even tried the kippers (not sure about those). Recommended.
